Origin: Although specific origins are unknown, Subject 0367's earliest recorded appearance is 5/8/201X, in a household in Calhoun County, Illinois, which was housed by [REDACTED]. A wellness check was called on them by their mother due to inactivity for a week. When police arrived, they found the corpse of [REDACTED], sitting in their chair. [REDACTED]'s search history shows that, 21 days prior to their discovery, they visited the site BeyondNormal.org, a Group of Interest. On this visit, they had encountered a post that contained nothing but an instance of Subject 0367-A. The post itself was quickly deleted, but not before [REDACTED] downloaded the file, which let Subject 0367-B begin its effects. Due to the website's shoddy recordkeeping, it is unknown how many, if any other people downloaded the file.
Appearance: Subject 0367-A is a .ZIP file, taking up approximately 33.89 Megabytes of space. When unzipped, the file produced is empty. Subject 0367-B is a protist, specifically the species naegleria fowleri, in its trophozoite form.
Anomaly: Subject 0367-A's appearances on different forums and file-hosting services can not be traced back to any uploaders. The manifestation of these files is mostly random, though they only appear on the previously-mentioned services.
When a user unzips Subject 0367-A, Subject 0367-B manifests in their temporal lobe. Subject 0367-B kills the host in days, following the behavioral patterns of regular members of its species.
Additional Information: As of January 1st, 2025, it has been confirmed that there have been at least 391 deaths caused by Subject 0367, with appearances being documented on websites such as 4chan.org, beyondnormal.org, neocities.org, dropbox.com, and more.
INCIDENT: On October 3rd, 2025, an abnormal variant of Subject 0367-A was published to roblox.com's creator store, in the form of a model titled "realistic protist behavior pack". It appeared that the official Roblox account had uploaded the model. This model is similar to the .ZIP file of a regular Subject 0367-A instance, with it being empty once unzipped. The insertion of this model into a game would cause Subject 0367-B to manifest in not only the creator, but all users who played the experience afflicted by Subject 0367. The model was quickly deleted, but 122 known individuals were already afflicted. Following interviews of employees of the Roblox Corporation, nobody could discern who had published the model.
